My Father was a EM with the 2nd AD, 41st AIR during WW2. My Grandfather was a Cpl. with the 79th Div. 304th Engineer Battalion during the "Big 1". Before them there were ancestors that fought w/ Rushes Lancers, Birneys Zouaves, and various other Regts. A 5th G Grandfather came to the Colonies as a English Ally, 2nd Regt. Bayreuth during that Rebellion. The earliest ancestor serving is in the late 16th Century as a "Soldner" in Bavaria. So my interest spans at least 5 centurys and 2 continents. My 1/6th interest goes back to Christmas of 1965 when "The Man, Mr. Claus; left me my 1st 12' figure. I'm also involved with Living History, being a member of the Southern Guard Living History Assoc.
